BOOK REVIEW: ASHLEY CADE'S WILD HEART SERIES
Book Review: Ashley Cade's Wild Heart Series
I was so excited to read this book. I really was. It had everything I was looking for. It had rommance and drama but despite that, this book is so BORING and kind of forgettable. This book was so disappointing and honestly, it could have been a really great book. The writing was good. The characters were likeable. This series has so much potential but it was predictable. I think the problem with this book is that the author was afraid to go there. Yes, there is drama and rommance in this book but it didn't feel original or exciting. When I finished reading Everything We Left Unsaid, I didn't feel anything and that's not feeling you want your reader to leave with.
Something That Could Last follows the love story of Abby, a simply country girl, and Jacob, the son of a rick senator. This book follows the classic poor girl meets rick guy story. I have always been a sucker for this types of books but it wasn't enough to make even like this series.
This book is okay, to say the least. But as I said previously, this book is very predictable and because of that very boring. I think the plot is the main issue of this series. Everything else about this book is actually pretty good. I had no issue with the characters and the writing but I do with the plot. This book needs more drama. Like I'm talking random car aciddents, sudden cancer diagnostic kind of drama. This book has some drama but it didn't feel original or at least anything special. This book follows the classic girl meets boy and fall in love trope. The problem is that there are so many books like that on the market and there's really nothing that makes this book stand out.
I also feel like this book needed at least some humor in it. I don't remember reading anything that made me laugh or chuckle in this book.
Anyway, this book isn't anything special. It had potential to be a great book but the plot kind of ruin the book with it's lack of originality. If you want a quick, rommance book to read, then maybe check this book out. However, I think there are better books out there that. R.S Grey has a bunch of rommance books that are both dramatic and funny to read. Anyway, I give this book 2 out of 5 stars. I wish I something nicer to say about this book but I really don't.
