My Most Anticipated Releases for 2020

I know that we are already half way through the year. However, we still have six more months until 2020 is finally over and there are a lot of amazing books coming out in the next few months that I wanted to sare with you. Here are my most anticipated releases for the remainder of 2020!!!

The Goddess in a Machine by Lora Beth Johnson

    

    This book tells the story of Andra who wakes up from her thousand year chronic sleep to find not only all of her friends and family dead but also that all of their descendents think she is a goddess. Now, this ordinary girl must help an exiled bastard prince reclaim his throne and still somehow find her way back to earth. I am not really a Science Fiction kind of gal but the description of this book really caught my attention. It looks like this book is action pack and full of secrets and intrigue. Also, I love that Chrissy Teigen pose for the cover of this book! Goddess in the Machine is set to be released on  June 30th, 2020. 

The Comeback By Ella Berman

    The Comeback takes a deep dive into the pysche of a young actress returning back to the spotlight and standing up to the powerful men who have controled her life and career. This is Ella Berman's debut novel and  is set to be released on August 3rd, 2020. I am so excited for this book!!! It looks so emotional and raw and I love reading about females standing for themselves. I can't wait to read this book!!!

These Violent Delights by Chole Gong 

These Violent Delights takes place in 1920s Shanghai. This book tells the story of Juliette Cai, a former flapper girl, as she returns home to take her place as the heir to the infamous Scarlet Gang, a group of criminals far above the law. However, when a mysterious and sinster force begin killing members of her gang, Juliette teams up with Roma Montagov, the heir to the rival gang and Juliette's 1st love & betrayal, to save her city. First of all, look at this cover!!! It is STUNNING!!! Second of all, a romeo & juliette retelling set in 1920s Shanghai? YES PLEASE!!! I love that we are getting more and more books with asian representation! I can't wait for this book! This book is set to be release November 17th, 2020. 

A Sky Beyond the Storm by Sabaa Tahir

An Ember in the Ashes is one of my favorite series of all time and I can't believe it is ending this year!!! After I finished A Reaper at the Gates, I was floored. This series is truly amazing! Great characters! (Helene is my ultimate bias) Amazing writing! Thrilling plot! I just hope that A Sky Beyond the Storm lives up to the hype. I don't know what I will do otherwise. This book is set to be released on December 1st, 2020 and I cannot wait for it to come out!

Lost Book of the White by Cassandra Clare 

If you haven't read any of Cassandra Clare's books, then you are truly missing out. With each of her new releases, Cassie just keeps getting better and better. And I have no doubt that this book will be just as amazing. This book is the 2nd release of The Eldest Curses series. This series tells more of the fabulous Magnus Bane story. This book follows Magnus, Alex, and their friends to Shanghai as try to locate a dark, mysterious force that is quickly taking over the city. I love the Shadowhunters Chronicles and I can't wait to read more. Also, I'm excited to read more of Magnus and Alex's kids. They are adorable!!! The Lost Book of White is set to be released on September 1st, 2020.
