Book Review: Roommaid by Sariah Wilson

Wow! This book took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting much but this book is so CUTE! Such a fun RomCom filled with witty humor and unexpected twists. I love this book!!! I'm usually more of a high fantasy type of girl but this book reignited my love for RomComs. If your looking for a quick and hilarious read, then I highly recommend The Roommaid by Sariah Wilson.

Synopsis: Madison Huntington wants to follow her passions and become a teacher. However, in order to do so, she has to walk away from her family's wealth. This means no allowance, no trust funds, or huge mansion. However, living in the real word is not as idyllic on a teacher's salary. After months on living on her best friend's couch, Madison finally finds a place to live. Tyler Roth nead a someone to look after his dog and his house while he's away for work. Sounds easy. Excpet for the fact that Madison has never cleaned a day in her life and has a huge crush on her boss.

Pros: There's a lot of things that I love about this book. I love both Madison and Tyler as individuals. I love how Madison would rather live her life doing something she loves rather than settle for a cushy life of luxuary. I respect her a lot for doing that. I also really like their romance. It's a slow-burn kind of romance but not the annoying kind. These two are really cute together and I love the banter between them. I also like how Wilson went into a little discussion about the cons of having a lot of money. It help the book feel more realistic and relatable. There's also a really cute dog in this book which is a mega BONUS.

Cons: I just want to say that this book is very WHITE and very STRAIGHT. There were some people of color in the book but they were defiantly more background characters. A little annoying but I guess its a step? Also, I found Madison's attachment to her Birkin Bag to be a little annoying.

Overall, I do really like this book. I think it is well written and it has a nicely paced plot. I love the humor and the romance is pretty cute. If you are in the market for a cute RomCom, you should check this book out. I give the Roomaid a solid 4 out of 5 stars. A really cute and fun read.
